Mind-Body Therapy

During our initial consultation, we collect information about you, your constitution, and your lifestyle habits, which will be used to formulate a therapy plan that may include breathing techniques, yogic postures, guided imagery, sound resonance techniques, visualization exercises, suitable meditation practices, and/or lifestyle modifications. Based on your condition, we will estimate the number of sessions that may be needed to implement the therapy plan and inform you during the initial consultation.

 

You can pay per session as you go or buy packages at a discounted rate according to the chart listed above. The reason the sessions are at a lower rate is not that you buy more of them, rather it gives us an opportunity to plan and structure your in one shot. That saves us time and in turn, we can reduce the cost of the sessions.

Terms & Conditions

To change an appointment without penalty, we need at least 24 hours notice. Otherwise, there will be a $30 fee.

Due to the work involved in assessing the health condition of the client and tailoring a therapy plan for the duration of the purchased package, the discounted packages are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable. 

Discounted packages must be used in full within a year from the date of the purchase.

It is imperative to realize that our therapies require client participation and their effectiveness is proportional to that participation.

Notes:

1) Clients can choose any of the following modalities or a combination of for Ayurvedic oil massage:

  • Marma Point Massage Therapy (aims at releasing blockages in the energy body and improving the flow of prana (or chi/qi as it’s known in Chinese medicine)
  • Cupping (an excellent therapy for spinal injuries where there are inflammation due to nerve agitation and muscle spasms)
  • Ayurvedic Oil Massage (known as Abhyanga in India, a restorative massage modality that uses specific herbal oils extract to bring balance to one’s natural constitution)
  • Basti Treatment (focuses on absorption of warm Ayurvedic herbal oils through skin in a specific areas. A great therapy for lower back, neck, and knee pain)
  • Restorative Massage Therapy (aims at healing damages to specific muscles, ligaments, or tendons and/or reducing scar tissues after surgery)

Or choose any of the following modalities for massage with sesame oil:

  • Cupping (an excellent therapy for spinal injuries where there are inflammation due to nerve agitation and muscle spasms)
  • Restorative Massage Therapy (aims at healing damages to specific muscles, ligaments, or tendons and/or reducing scar tissues after surgery)
  • Stress Reduction Massage (focuses on slowing down sympathetic nervous system activities and increasing parasympathetic)
  • Rejuvenation Massage (focuses on improving circulation to muscles and organs)
  • Deep Tissue Massage (focuses on releasing facia and tension in the soft tissues)

3) Body wrap sauna is done to improve absorption of the medicated oil. Dosha calculations are done to determine what oil should be used to balance your constitution. Therefore, both these options are more applicable to massage with Ayurvedic oil.

4) The Ayurvedic oil used for the massage will be determined by Dr. Rakhshani after the intake and dosha calculation. The oils are extracted from tens of Ayurvedic herbs and are applied warm.
